Newsletter 28th March 2025

Here is the newsletter for this week
Mr Berry's Message.
Dear Parents Carers,
We are nearing the Easter holidays and this is always a busy time at New Islington! This week, I would like to share some staffing updates for the Summer term and for next year.
We would like to extend a huge thanks to Miss Iqbal, who will be leaving us at the end of next week. The hard work and dedication she has shown during her time with us has been exceptional and we wish her all the best for the next step in her career.
We are very excited to welcome Miss Kourou to our team who will join us as an EYFS teacher starting after Easter. We are also delighted to announce that Miss Williams, who has been working with us on a part-time basis as Assistant Headteacher will be joining us permanently as Deputy Headteacher starting in September.
I'm sure you will all share my congratulations to both Miss Williams and Miss Kourou.
As always, thank you for your continued support.

Mrs Williams Book Recommendation
Each week, Mrs Williams (and maybe some other staff) will suggest a good book to read.
Stitch Head by Guy Bass
|
A great early chapter book jam packed full of great illustrations. Stitch Head is a long forgotten, small almost-human like creation, in fact he is the first ever creation of the frightfully insane Professor Erasmus. Deep in the depths of Castle Grotteskew Professor Erasmus carries out his bizarre experiments, creating ever more frightful and terrifying creatures. Stitch Head has spent years living amongst these monsters and trying to get the attention of his master. When a travelling circus ringmaster, Fulbert Freakfinder, promises to make him a star, Stitch Head wonders whether there is another life for him. But first he has to catch the professor's latest creation - a monstrous three-armed creature that's just smashed its way to freedom . . For ages 8 and above |
