New Islington News – Edition 22

Thank you:
A huge thank you for your generous donations towards the Turkish Syrian Earthquake Disaster Fund. We have transferred over £550:80 to the Red Cross Disaster appeal. The Year 3 cake sale was a massive success – thank you to everyone involved.
Your Voice Survey (Parents):
Every year, Co-op Academies Trust carries out an annual survey in all our academies for all parents, after which we review the results and put together action plans to make improvements where needed and do more of the things you tell us are going well. It is a hugely valuable experience and only works if everyone has their say.
This survey is entirely anonymous. Individuals cannot be identified and no attempt will be made to do so – the aim of the questions are to get an overall opinion and to see where we can do better. You do not have to answer all the questions, you are able to leave some blank if you prefer but we ask you to be honest and complete these in order for us to fully understand the wider picture.
You only need to complete the survey once and it closes on Monday 13th March 2023
You can access the survey by using this link (click on it or type it into an address bar):

Your Voice Survey (Pupils in Year 5&6):
Every year, Co-op Academies Trust carries out an annual survey in all academies. All pupils across the Trust can complete this survey. We really hope that you will want to have your say in making a difference to how your academy or college runs.
This survey is anonymous and we will not try to identify you. You can be very open and honest, though rude comments about people will be ignored.
Parents – please can you encourage your child to complete this independently? There’s a closing date of Monday 13th March.

From Monday – Scholastic Book Fair:
Come along after school next week to have a look at the wonderful Scholastic Book Fair. This will be at the back of the hall from 3:30 to 4:00. We are running a cashless system so please bring your mobile phones with you. This year, we will not be accepting cash payments. You will be able to pay by scanning a QR code to pay with your phone on Apple Pay or equivalent. You can also purchase Scholastic gift vouchers, which are available at https://bookfairs.scholastic.co.uk/gift-vouchers.
Once purchased, you will receive the voucher in an email which can be printed and brought to the fair.
For parents who use Wraparound care, you can make use of the gift vouchers available at https://bookfairs.scholastic.co.uk/gift-vouchers and send the printed email to school with your child. Please alert the Wraparound Team that your child has a voucher in their bag.
Parents Evening:
We are introducing an online booking system for parents evening. This booking system will be available for parents from Monday 13th March. We highly recommend that all parents try logging on before this date to avoid any technical worries. The system works effectively – however, it does require users to input the information with care.
