Some of our Year 5 pupils went to the Manchester Grammar School to participate in their annual Bexwyke Lecture. 

This year the theme was ‘The Magic of Thinking Big’ and the guest speaker was Holly Budge. Holly is an Everest Summiteer and the first woman to skydive Everest! 

From jumping out of a plane over Everest, to ambushing poachers in Africa, to completing a 1000km race on semi-wild horses through Mongolia. Holly is no stranger to taking action, asserting her voice and facing her fears.

She demonstrates the importance of setting big goals and maintaining a positive mindset. Through real-life examples, Holly showed why we should never underestimate the sheer power of the human spirit.

Our pupils did us proud, and we all send our thanks to @mgs_1515 for an amazing, memorable day!
