Anti-bullying Week November 13th - 17th 2023

Anti-bullying Week: Monday 13th to Friday 17th November 2023

Come to school on Friday 17th November wearing odd-socks, to show that we stand together against bullying!

At Co-op Academy New Islington, we don’t want anyone to be a victim of bullying. We understand that bullying can have a profound effect on children's emotional well-being and mental health and bullying will not be tolerated at our school. As part of our PSHE curriculum (Jigsaw), and through recognising the annual National Anti-bullying Week, we work hard to help children understand issues surrounding bullying.

So what is bullying?

Bullying is the repetitive, intentional hurting of one person or group by another person or group. Bullying can be verbal, physical, psychological and online. Bullying is not tolerated at our school.

If you feel that you are being bullied, please tell an adult straight away.

At school you can tell…

- A friend

- A teacher

- A teaching assistant

- A trusted adult

When you tell someone about bullying, they can then help you to sort your problem out.
