Bulb planting to make our city beautiful!
Selected KS2 pupils made our city centre more beautiful. Our children planted mixed varieties of tulips, anemonies, crocus, iris and alliums in and around Sadler's Yard.
We were taught by professional gardeners how to get amazing results by using different planting techniques, and creating 'bulb lasagne' in planters. Our children had so much fun during their treasure-hunt style bulb orienteering, competing in teams to plant the correct bulbs in different areas.
The children worked incredibly hard in wet autumn weather and enjoyed a well deserved treat of hot chocolate and cookies at the end.
Thank you to all the amazing staff at Plant Co-op for another lovely fun-filled adventure!
